I can’t even stretch and touch my toes. If I take a college Yoga class for 1 credit. an A for effort?
BlueWorld asked:
I was always one of the least flexible in middle and high school physical education classes. I like the idea of learning Yoga, but I worry I’ll perform well below the average of the class. I need this credit to graduate, so I’m hoping that I’ll get an A based on effort and not flexibility. Is this likely?

Well I am very athletic, so I never had this problem. But fitness classes are generally based on effort-and not being athletic. You are not going to get an A just because you’re flexible! You are going to get an A because you tried your best and worked really hard! Talk with the instructor if you are worried or have concerns about the class.

Flexibility is good for many yoga poses..it helps you accomplish the pose. But, it’s not the only skill you should have in order to practice yoga.
There are many other important things also, such as, focus, concentration, consistency, the will to learn more about yoga…ect. All these will make you a successful and “happy” yogi! I advice you to go on and exercise, by the time you’ll be more and more flexible..
By the way, I have a good, free yoga e-course for you that may help:
All the best,
