Why do Bramins think that they are great?

Especially they act in a manner that all Hindu god’s belong to them and they take the best method in praying god, devoting themselves. But their food behaviors are to be the worst. Though they are Iyer or Iyengar, there are eople who eat NON Vegetarian items. Why do people live like this, Instead of they can pull their tongue and die.

Especially on Aavani Avittam, Varalakshmi Nombu, Gayathri Japam, they don’t even consider other caste people as human beings, they treat them like beggars or to be frank worst than beggars

If U are a Bramin I don’t worry, but DO NOT report my question as abuse because there are loads of people who feel about this. If u have guts answer this, nor get away from this question. I thank u for visiting my question (for those who don’t like this.)

I dont know, but I feel ya. Them Calverts are just like that. Maybe they cousins to the Bramin bunch.

The answer is fairly obvious. Brahmins are at the top of the caste system, and therefore are seen as better than the rest by being on top. If you were told that you were on top and better than everyone else, wouldn’t you think you were pretty great too??
By the way, one of my close friends is from a Brahmin family, and it doesn’t affect the way she looks at anyone.

I am a brahmin, raised all my life and i agree at times that “We” do think ourselves higher, but it goes from back in the days and it just bulit that way…sometimes iyers are ignorants..but it’s how people view them, a lot of hindu’s give them the upper hand..but there also in the higher caste then hindu’s… i don’t know maybe you just bad experience time with some iyers man..your looking too much into it but it’s how people regard us..not all of us are the same..don’t judge!

I do agree with you….
And in response to one of the answers above, just because something has always been done a certain way, it doesnt make it right.
Some may disagree with what i am about to write, but often the pompous attitudes of the Bramhins is akin to that of white supremecists in the states.
