regarding nose ornament?

am an Iyengar. deeply religious,regularly performing sandhya etc. I am deeply attracted to mookkuthis so much that I got my nose pierced on both sides and wear mookkuthis occasionally when alone or on a visit to a new town.Does our religion prohibit wearing of mookkuthis by men?Am I committing any sin by this habit?.I am unable to overcome this desire.Shall I continue to wear this ornament occasionally particularly while travelling/visiting temples/new places?.kindly advise.I wear earstuds regularly being a brahmin. regards
